Biography

Dr. Gunko graduated from the Chemistry Department of Moscow State University in 1987. He received his PhD degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Moscow State University in 1990 and subsequently worked in Belarus, England and Germany. He has lectured at Trinity College (Dublin), the oldest and most prestigious university in Ireland, and is one of the world’s top experts in nanotechnologies. His scientific interests lie in quantum dots for biomedical and photonic applications, chemical functionalization of carbon nanotubes, magnetic nanoparticles and magnetic liquids for MRI, catalysis and drug delivery.
