Program description
The first Art & Science program in Russia is designed for those people wishing to overcome any disciplinary boundaries. It helps students who are already engaged in the artwork and are in search of new ways to express their creative initiatives master skills necessary for working in science and engineering. At the same time, the program aims to reveal the creative potential of those who have hands-on experience in the fields of IT and computer science, robotics, photonics, or biotechnology, and who are seeking new ways of development and communication.
The program offers several specializations:
-
Technological Art is a multidisciplinary and practice-oriented major that focuses on advanced technologies and ubiquitous computing with the goal of exploring the possibilities of a newfound aesthetic and biomechanical intelligence.
-
Digital Art is a discipline of quantification. It quantifies and digitalizes the surrounding information, transforming it into byte-sized messages, crossing the class and agency boundaries.
-
Bioart is an Interdisciplinary program that blurs the boundaries between art and modern biology by making a strong emphasis on current philosophical, social, and environmental challenges.
