Since perovskite crystals can be easily grown from solutions, the technology is more cost-efficient than existing alternatives – and can potentially be used in optical chips, sensors, and quantum devices. Russian universities have now closed the round of admissions for top-priority applicants. 875 winners and runners-up of school student contests have chosen ITMO for their studies and enrolled at the university without exams. This is one of the best results in the country, the highest in St. Petesburg, and a new record for ITMO.
ITMO University has updated its online Master’s program Design and Development of Digital Products by introducing a new training model that will be driven by digital market changes, AI advancements, and a growing demand for specialists who can not only design interfaces but also be an active part of a product team. Researchers from the Russian Quantum Center, ITMO University, and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology have demonstrated that the collective behavior of electrons in ultrathin materials can be observed using light. The corresponding study was published in Physical Review B and implemented as part of the quantum computing roadmap.
