Danil Zakoldaev

Biography

Danil Zakoldaev enrolled in 1997 and successfully completed his studies at St. Petersburg University of Fine Mechanics and Optics (now ITMO University) in 2002. 

In 2012, he defended his thesis for a PhD degree in engineering. 

In 2013, he completed an internship at the R&D department of IBM in Haifa, Israel.

In 2016, he earned the title of an associate professor. 

Danil Zakoldaev completed a retraining course in state and municipal management. He worked as an assistant and then an associate professor at ITMO's Department of Computer Systems Design and Security.

He is an employee at ITMO’s International Research Laboratory for Intelligent Data Processing Methods and Semantic Technologies. 

He authored more than 50 publications, over 25 papers, and five study guides. 

He co-developed over 10 computer programs for enterprises of strategic importance in Russia.

Danil Zakoldaev took part in and led the design and implementation of automated systems at Telecominvest, Gazprom Neft, MTS, and the Russian Ministry of Defense.

His professional interests include computer-aided design, big data, security for digital manufacturing, hardware security, and information technologies in education.
