In 1971, Liudmila Zabodalova received a degree in milk and dairy technologies from Leningrad Institute of Refrigeration (now ITMO University). From 1980 to 1994, she held the position of an assistant and then an associate professor at the Department of Milk and Diary Technologies; in 1994, she was appointed the head of the department. Prof. Zabodalova received her PhD in 1978 and DSc in 2000. She was granted the title of an associate professor in 1991 and a professor – in 2001. She has authored and co-authored over 250 scientific and educational works, including three monographs, a textbook, around 10 teaching aids, nine copyright certificates and patents, as well as supervised 10 PhD students. Liudmila Zabodalova was awarded the medal “In Commemoration of the 300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg,” the title of the Veteran of Labor, and Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation. 

Liudmila Zabodalova is a consultant within the following advanced training and retraining programs:

  • Milk and Diary Technologies;

  • Production of Margarine Products, Cooking and Vegetable Fats;

  • Biotechnology of Next-Gen Dairy Products;

  • Manufacturing of Combined Butter and Cream-Plant-Based Sour Cream;

  • Production of Ice Cream Made with Vegetable Fats.
