Video coding, transmission and recognition for infrastructure inspections by drones

Education and professional activity

Evgeny Belyaev is currently working as a research fellow at ITMO University’s International Laboratory "Computer Technologies". He received his Candidate of Science degree in technical sciences in 2009 in Russia and his Doctor of Technology degree at Tampere University of Technology in Finland. In 2010, Evgeny received the Intel Corporation Recognition Award and in 2013, 2015 and 2016 – the Exemplary Reviewer award by IEEE Communications Letters Journal. He was also awarded in Grand Video Compression Challenge during the 30th Picture Coding Symposium, San Jose, CA, USA in 2013. Evgeny has more than 40 papers in international journals and conferences and 4 patents. In 2011 he got the best paper award at the 11th International Conference on Next Generation Wired/Wireless Advanced Networking.
