Biography

Irina Tolstikova is an author of over 60 scientific and educational works. She teaches culturology; business etiquette; fundamentals of ethics and etiquette; St. Petersburg culture; and professional image and corporate culture.

Education and career

  • 1979 – graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of Leningrad State University named after A. A. Zhdanov (now St. Petersburg State University) with a major in political studies (scientific communism) in 1979;

  • 1993 – completed the advanced training program “Challenges of Modern Social Psychology and Sociology” at St. Petersburg State University;

  • 1996 – finished a retraining program in cultural studies at St. Petersburg State University;

  • 1987-1991 – an assistant at the Department of Philosophy, ITMO University;

  • 1991-1994 – a senior lecturer at the Department of Philosophy, ITMO University;

  • 1995-1998 – a senior lecturer at the Department of Culturology, ITMO University;

Awards

  • Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation (2004);

  • Medal of St. Tatiana “Youth Instructor” (2010).

Professional interests

Philosophy of culture and intercultural interaction.
