Biography
Anton Pyrkin is the author of over 100 publications. He is a member of IPACS (the International Physics and Control Society) and IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).
Since 2007, Anton A. Pyrkin has participated in 25 international and 20 Russian conferences as the author and the co-author of articles, speaker, reviewer and member of the organizing committee. In 2006, being a fourth-year student, he became the winner (among over 110 participants from 31 universities, 18 cities of the world) of the overall ranking of educational section of the International Baltic Olympic Games on automatic control. In 2007, 2009 and 2011, Dr. Pyrkin became the winner of the competition of grants for students and PhD students of higher education institutions and academic institutes, which are located in the territory of St. Petersburg, and also he was given the rank "The Best Student of ITMO University 2007". In 2008, at the tenth-anniversary conference of young scientists "Navigation and Traffic Control" he was awarded for the best report submitted by a student. Dr. Pyrkin is a two-time winner of the International student's Olympic Games on automatic control of BOAC, which was held in St. Petersburg in both 2008 and 2010. In 2009, Dr. Pyrkin took part in the First Traditional All-Russian youth summer school "Control, Information and Optimization" to Pereslavl-Zalessky where he was awarded for the best poster and oral presentations. In 2010 at the XII conference of young scientists "Navigation and Traffic control" Dr. Pyrkin became the winner of the section with the same name.
In 2008, Dr. Pyrkin won the competition "UMNIK", and in 2010 the competition "START". In 2009 he became the prize-winner (2nd place) of the XII competition of business ideas, scientific and technical developments and research projects "Young. Bold. Promising". In 2010 A. Pyrkin became the winner of a competition within the federal target program "Scientific and Educational Research Personnel of Innovative Russia" for 2009-2013. In 2012 he was awarded with the Youth Prize of St. Petersburg.
In 2009, Dr. Pyrkin participated in a one-month internship at the University of California in San Diego, USA, working for Professor Miroslav Krstich, a world-famous scientist in the field of Adaptive Control and Delay.
