International Research Laboratory for Micro- and Nanotechnology Lasers

The International Research Laboratory for Micro- and Nanotechnology Lasers investigates the physical and technical principles of laser technologies, namely interactions between radiation and matter, the formation and structuring of laser beams, the optimization of laser system parameters, etc. The laboratory has been involved in the latest trends in laser technologies, even developing new fields of study: laser lithography and laser formation of micro-optical elements. As of now, the laboratory focuses on laser functionalization of the surface of structural and functional materials, the use of laser radiation in microoptics, microelectronics, and control of the properties of materials at the micro- and nanoscale.

Research fields

  • laser-matter interactions;

  • laser micro- and nanophotonics;

  • thermochemical action of laser radiation;

  • thin film laser processing;

  • laser ablation and laser erosive plasma: mechanisms and applications;

  • theoretical questions and methods of mathematical modeling in laser technologies;

  • laser painting;

  • surface functionalization of the living and non-living;

  • functionalization of metal surfaces;
