The Institute of Information and Navigation Systems specializes in the development of information and navigation systems and complexes that manage and support the movement of any portable objects.

The institute implements programs in motion control and navigation systems for both Bachelor’s and Master’s students.

One of its partners is Elektropribor, Russia's leading company in precision instrumentation and high-precision navigation.

During their studies in the institute’s programs, young specialists are involved in research, design, engineering and administrative activities, as well as have the chance to go on business trips inside or outside of Russia to participate in various conferences and perform contract projects in Germany, India, China, Norway, the UK, and other countries. 

Apart from industrial partners, the institute works closely with St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI", and St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation.
