PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Implemented in collaboration with the European University at St. Petersburg, ITMO’s Technoscience, Innovation, Economy (TIE Program) Master’s program trains specialists in innovation economy regulation and promotion of technology transfer. The program’s graduates will gain expertise in the application of cutting-edge technologies and will be capable of conducting socioeconomic analysis of innovative industries and empirical studies of science and technology.
The key focus of the program lies in the features of the modern state innovation policy, strategic development, information support of innovative processes, and technology ethics and regulatory impact assessment (technology assessment).
Students of the program can pursue their studies in one of the following specializations:
- Innovation Economy
- Technoscience Research
PROGRAM RELEVANCE
The program brings together the skills and capacities of the three areas of competencies. Over the course of training, students acquire the theory and tools for analyzing economic processes and systems, social theory and methods, as well as specialize in one of the following fields: biotechnology, big data, robotics, or new materials.
Upon completion of their training, students receive two diplomas from ITMO University and the European University at St. Petersburg.
